Common Questions
Here are answers to questions we often receive about our services and processes.
How long does will preparation typically take?
The initial consultation usually takes between one and two hours, during which we discuss your assets, beneficiaries, and wishes in detail. Following this meeting, we draft the will and arrange for your review. Once approved, we coordinate notarization, which can typically be completed within five to seven business days from the initial meeting, though this may vary depending on your schedule and the complexity of your estate.
Can you assist with international document authentication?
Yes, we regularly coordinate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for apostille and legalization services. This includes documents destined for countries party to the Hague Apostille Convention as well as those requiring full consular legalization. We handle the entire process, from initial document preparation through final authentication, and can advise on the specific requirements for your destination country.
What should I bring to a tax dispute consultation?
Please bring any correspondence you have received from the Revenue Department, including assessment notices and supporting documents. Tax returns for the relevant years, financial records, receipts for claimed deductions or credits, and any documentation supporting your position will help us provide a thorough initial assessment. If you are uncertain about what to bring, we can discuss this during our initial scheduling call.
How are fees structured for your services?
Our fees are stated upfront for each service. Will preparation is ฿18,000, notarial and legalization services begin at ฿12,000, and tax dispute representation starts at ฿50,000. These rates include all essential components of each service. If your matter requires additional work beyond the standard scope, we will discuss this with you before proceeding. We believe in transparent pricing without unexpected additions.
Do you handle matters outside of Chiang Mai?
While our office is in Chiang Mai, we are able to assist clients throughout Thailand. Many aspects of our work, including document preparation and correspondence with government departments, can be handled remotely. For matters requiring in-person appearances or notarization, we can coordinate with colleagues in other regions or arrange travel to your location if appropriate. Please contact us to discuss your specific situation.
How is client information protected?
All client communications and documents are treated with strict confidentiality in accordance with professional legal standards and the Personal Data Protection Act. We maintain secure storage systems for both physical and electronic records, and access is limited to authorized personnel only. Your information will not be shared with third parties except as required by law or with your explicit consent.
